Start familiarizing your child with nature while at home by looking through this picture book together. Ask them questions or provide prompts such as:
“What do you see?” “I notice that....” “How do you think he feels?” “This picture makes me feel...” “What do you think he’s thinking about?” “I would really like to...” |
Show your young kids some the various activities and emotions they can experience outdoors. Talk about what the boys in this book may be feeling or thinking. These photographs are meant to help normalize being outdoors for young kids, even if they're not around many others who regularly play outside in their daily lives.
